Summary of your life since 1967:

After moving from Kearney to Central City in 1961, I lived there until 1966. Moved to Salina, KS where I graduated in 1967. Joined Navy that year and retired in 1988. Moved back to Salina where I was a director for a rehab agency for people with developmental disabilities. I retired from there in 2002 and started a lavender farm.
I did carpentry and finish work on the side for a couple of years until I could farm full time, which I have been doing since 2005.

Favorite place in Kearney:

Harmon Park....spent so much time there as a kid. I think my parents really just wanted me out from under their feet! But I loved the time spent there year around.

Avignon, France - Absolutely love this small town and want to go back again and again.

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Growing up Jim's lived half a block from me. We went through Park Elementary school, were in scouts together and spent many hours playing. As Chuck said, Jim's mom was our den mother and his dad was important enough to our family that my youngest brother's middle name is Lane. RIP.
