Entered the US Navy in 1970 and served 21 years retiring at Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital, Ca in 1991. I was honored to have Craig Anderson attend my retirement ceremony. Our families were able to spend some time together before we moved to Nashville, TN. I have worked at several hospitals across the southeast before settling here in Arkansas. I plan to retire again soon and spend time with our 6 grandchildren.
We had a pep rally our sophomore year where the French Club was to dress up in cheerleader outfits and run across the stage singing the tune "the one and only cereal that comes in the shape of animals" and trample the opponants mascot. I was to borrow one of the cheerleaders skirts for the skit. When I approached the cheerleader I was assigned to and announced I needed to borrow her skirt we were both shocked to find out nobody had informed her of the plan! True Sea Story--While I was stationed at Beaufort Naval Hospital I met a Chief Petty Officer from McCook and got onto a discussion about who had won a particular football game. He claimed McCook had and I of course said Kearney did. I went home and got my annual to show him. Not only was I right, there was a picture of him in the game getting his clock cleaned by a Kearney player!
